A reply to http://imgur.com/a/hgmbQ as a way of making a wider point.

So we are having an referendum on changing the voting system. We currently have First Past The Post (FPTP) and we could have the Alternative Vote (AV). I don't want AV. But that isn't why I've done this. Honestly. I'm trying to highlight how crappy all the 'debating' has been on AV. No2AV (official campaign against the change) have been sending people leaflets about why AV is the wrong choice. Not to educate people about voting systems but to sway their opinion. But the leaflet is a piece of crap. Someone has scanned the leaflet and annotated it electronically to highlight the errors. Of which there are many. However our annotator has made some errors of his/her own, the hypocrite. So I've annotated his/her annotations with my own childish nit-pickings. I believe all three sets of nonsense are on a par with one another. Which leads me to my point.

Just saying why the other guy is wrong isn't a good way to convince people you are right.

If one side goes negative the other doesn't have to follow. You can take the higher ground. Both Yes2AV and No2AV have told outright lies and used the BNP to scare people into voting for them (both claim the BNP prospers from the others system). This is made worse by the internet people who point out these errors as a way of making a case for the other side. So please don't use this or the original (http://imgur.com/a/hgmbQ) to argue one way or the other on AV. Best stay away from the official campaigns and any politicians associated with either side too.

Note 1: I felt this was the best why to highlight my point, although I haven't used anything associated with Yes2AV to do so. If Yes2AV do a leaflet and someone annotates it with childish corrections please send it to me to re-annotate. I might even let one of my friends who love AV do the re-annotating instead.

Note 2: If you feel obligated to point out any errors in my annotations please reread the paragraph above until you get why it is that I not only won't care but why I will also think you are dumb.
